Why We Matter
What is special aboutCalifornia Technological Care, Inc.?
Today, 95% of our revenue comes from individual contributions. The other 5% comes from fundraising activities. To date, we have never received a government or large private foundation grant. We have never received money from advertising. Throughout our existence we have relied on many small contributions from the public and the private sector who have joined with us to help us achieve our goals.
- Many non-profits bog you down with junk mail appeals – we don't and will not
- CTC does not use direct mail or telemarketers to raise money
- 73 percent of our budget is actually being used for bona fide programs, the remaining percentage is spent on fundraising and general administration
- We spend your goodwill dollar the way you want and expect
The bottom-line, we do not have
- large reserves of available assets
- available assets equal to three to five years of operating expenses
At CTC, we realize that donors wish to give wisely. That is why we will always be forthcoming about how we rate and what we have (or do not have).
The Goal of the CTC Win-Win House Raffle is to:
- Increase computer literacy
- Reduce poverty; and
- Strengthen families and communities
The proceeds of the raffle will raise valuable revenues to continue the work CTC begun back in 1999. We desperately need a permanent location with which we can use to work towards accomplishing our goals. Will you help us? Learn More
In 1999, CTC began a quest to:
- combat computer illiteracy and
- bridge the digital divide
Today, we have a white hot-burning desire to provide educational programs that help people move out of poverty.
CTC has a solid track record of serving communities in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Paraguay, and in the Philippines. Learn More
